The Patricia Ritchie Centre for Cancer Care and Research

The Patricia Ritchie Centre for Cancer Care and Research is a modern facility, providing patients with a comfortable, home-like atmosphere for their cancer treatment. With a 12-chair private cancer and ambulatory care service on the hospital grounds, the Mater’s team collaborates closely with patients' oncologists and hematologists to offer personalised care and support.

Mrs. Patricia Ritchie AM, an esteemed and generous benefactor of the Foundation, generously donated the funds to acquire and renovate 'Claverton,' a former convent of the Mater's founding Sisters of Mercy. Mrs. Ritchie envisioned Claverton as The Patricia Ritchie Centre for Cancer Care and Research, preserving its legacy for future generations.
